Raquel Anderson, B.A. was born in Brazil and also holds a Portuguese nationality. Raquel lived in Portugal, the land of her grandparents, for fifteen years, where she earned a Bachelor Degree in Languages and Modern Literatures – English and Portuguese from the University Nova of Lisbon. She worked as a Junior High School Teacher for six years, and stopped working in 2002 in order to do her post-graduation in Education. She went to England to study at the International Training College in London, from 1988-1990, where she earned an AA in Theology and Administration. She was appointed to Portugal as the Executive Assistant for the president of a Christian organization. Her work ranged from translating, organizing events as well as assisting the director of that organization. Later she worked as the head and co-director of two different branches for the same organization, also performing administrative work, among other responsibilities.
